Academic Activities:Faculty of
maternity nursing department are mainly
involved in teaching learning activates
of B.Sc. Nursing and Certificate Nursing
focusing on maternity nursing and
education. Besides teaching nursing
students faculty are also involved in
teaching learning activities of BMIT and
coordination of 3rd year B.Sc. Nursing
and 2nd year Certificate Nursing
Programme
Service Activities:
- Coordination of maternal nursing
department
- Application of wholistic
approach in taking care of the
patient taking treatment in
concerned wards & OPDs
- Provide comprehensive care and
manage reproductive health problems
by advanced knowledge
- Identify high risk women and act
accordingly
- Formal & informal health
educational programmes based on the
needs to patients and visitors
- Taking care of women during
Pregnancy, Labour and Pueperium
including new born care
- Administration of medication as
presuibed
- Assisting in diagnostic and
therapeutic measures
- Providing pre & post operative
care as per the need.
- Involved in providing PMTCT
programme (prevention from mother to
child safe motherhood programme HIV
transmission), in coordination with
medical faculty of Gynae Obst.
Department
- Vitamin 'A' caps distribution to
postnatal & antenatal mother
Research Activities:-Various
research projects are being carried out
by the faculty in addition to guiding
B.Sc. Nursing research projects. |
