BPKIHS, established in 1993, upgraded as
autonomous University in 1998. Nursing
Department, converted into college of
nursing on 8th August, 2002. On 17th
August, 2004, the departmental concept
was introduced in the College of Nursing
with the establishment of 5 different
departments
Teaching activities:Teaching /
Learning activities were co-ordinated by
programme co-ordinator as well as deputy
Programme co-ordinator. All year of
programme were co-ordinated in
collaboration with Medical Faculty. Mrs.
Pushpa Parajuli was the Incharge of
College of Nursing. Mrs. Sami Lama, Mrs.
Pushpa Parajuli, Mrs. Mangala Shrestha,
and Mrs. Angur Badhu, were deputy
programme coordinators of 1st year, 2nd
year, 3rd year & 4th year of B.Sc.
Nursing program respectively. Mrs. Tara
Shah, Mrs. Nirmala Pokharel, and Mr. Ram
Sharan Mehta were the deputy programme
coordinators of 1st year, 2nd year, and
3rd year of Certificate Nursing program
respectively. Mrs. Pushpa Parajuli was
the overall programme co-ordinator of
B.Sc. Nursing and Certificate Nursing.
Teaching Learning activities for both
programmes were as follows- Structured
interactive session (SIS), clinical
posting (CLIP), Small group Discussion (SGD),
Laboratory Exercise (LABEX), Field
posting, Seminar etc.
Continuing Nursing Education (CNE):Continuing
nursing education was aimed at
interaction between faculties, with the
intention of exchange of knowledge and
skill. The overall aim of the type of
session was to upgrade the academic
standard of the institution mainly in
the field of nursing. The nursing
college has a committee for execution of
CNE programme. This committee was
actively involved in imparting nursing
education to the faculty, nursing
personnel on a regular basis as per
their plan of action
